Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to TrackUrNutri.

Protecting your privacy is a priority. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the app, why it is processed, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Data processed

Depending on the features you use, TrackUrNutri may process the following information:

  • photographs of your meals;
  • foods detected or entered manually;
  • weight and waist circumference (optional);
  • water and alcohol consumption;
  • physical activity;
  • glycemic index / load;
  • comments and context associated with meals;
  • app settings.

4. Where is your data stored?

By default, your data is stored locally on your device.

If you enable a synchronization feature (for example via iCloud) or the Apple Health integration, the data will also be processed under the terms of the chosen provider.

TrackUrNutri does not store your data on its own servers, unless a specific feature requires it and you are informed of it.

5. Use of artificial intelligence services

TrackUrNutri may use an artificial intelligence service to analyze photographs of your meals.

"Bring Your Own API Key" (BYOK) mode

If you configure your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or another compatible provider):

  • requests are sent directly to the AI provider;
  • TrackUrNutri does not collect, store, or use your API key;
  • billing for requests is handled exclusively by the AI provider under its own terms.

A simulated mode (no key) is also available. Processing performed by these providers is subject to their own privacy policy.

6. Product scan (Open Food Facts)

When you scan a barcode, only the product's barcode is used to query the public Open Food Facts database. No personal data is transmitted during this operation.

7. Purposes of processing

Data is used only to:

  • record your food journal;
  • analyze your meals with AI;
  • produce personal statistics;
  • generate nutritional recommendations;
  • track the progress of your goals.

TrackUrNutri does not sell your personal data.

8. Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent and the performance of the requested service.

9. Data sharing

Your data is never sold to third parties. It may be transmitted only:

  • to the artificial intelligence provider you have chosen, when you request an analysis;
  • to the synchronization provider you voluntarily enable (for example iCloud, Apple Health).

10. Retention

Data remains stored as long as you keep the app or until you delete it. You can delete your data directly from the app.

11. Security

TrackUrNutri implements measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized access. Whenever possible, data is kept locally on your device.

12. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have in particular the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability.

You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the address indicated above. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent authority in your country (in France, the CNIL).

13. Protection of minors

TrackUrNutri is not intended for children under 16 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or legal obligations. The date of the last update will always appear at the top of the document.
